AHF Eswatini has clinics in Manzini, Piggs Peak, Mbabane, Nhlangano and Matsapha providing comprehensive HIV care where all HIV related HIV services are integrated under one roof. These include tuberculosis treatment and testing and Sexual Reproductive Health services that include Family planning, antenatal care, and cervical cancer screening The clinic also has in-house laboratory equipment for performing all testing with immediate results.
AHF Eswatini clinics have gained popularity for their quality of care and relatively short wait times. In addition to the prevention and treatment offered through the healthcare centres, AHF Eswatini conducts outreach programs to promote condom use and HIV and TB testing. In 2009, AHF Eswatini started distributing AHF-branded LOVE Condoms and offering confidential, rapid HIV testing all around Eswatini. In 2016 they added AHF ICON Gold condoms and in accordance with the government’s adoption of the WHO test and treat policy in 2016, AHF started implementing a universal test and treat program to start clients who test HIV on antiretroviral treatment immediately, improving long-term health outcomes.
The Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a global nonprofit organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to more than 1.5 million people in 45 countries; Africa, North and South America, Asia and Europe. We are currently the largest provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the U.S.
AHF funds its mission to rid the world of AIDS through a network of pharmacies, thrift stores, healthcare contracts and other strategic partnerships. Generating new, innovative ways of treatment, prevention and advocacy has been the hallmark of our success. We are currently leading a mass testing initiative to identify and treat the 25 million people who are unaware they are infected.
By advocating big goals–such as having 1 billion people tested each year–AHF hopes to eliminate older, more time-consuming methods. Since 1987, AHF has cared for thousands of people living with HIV and AIDS worldwide. As we create and implement new programs in communities across the U.S. and abroad, we expand delivery of healthcare and influence over policy with the aim of saving more lives.
